Solar Panel Cleaning on Oahu
Rooftop solar is everywhere on Oahu, and those panels sit out in salt air, trade-wind dust and red dirt every day. Rain rinses off some of it, but not the sticky film that builds up on the glass, especially along the bottom edge of each panel where grime collects. Pane'N The Glass Window Cleaning cleans solar panels for homes in Honolulu, Kailua, Kaneohe and nearby areas.

How We Clean Solar Panels
We're a hand-clean-first company, but solar panels are one place where the right tool is a water-fed pole. We clean panels with a water-fed pole and deionized water. Deionized water has the minerals filtered out, so it dries spot-free instead of leaving the hard water marks that tap water can leave behind on glass.
For windows, we hand clean up close with a squeegee and microfiber, from ladders up to three stories. The pole is only a backup for windows that can't be cleaned safely by hand or are beyond our ladders' reach.
Why Panels Get Dirty on Oahu
Kailua, Hawaii Kai, Kahala and other coastal neighborhoods: trade winds carry fine salt spray inland, and it dries on panels as a dull film.
Drier, sunnier areas: dust and red dirt settle on panels between the occasional rains.
Windward neighborhoods like Kaneohe: frequent showers can leave water spots and grime that dries along the panel edges.
Everywhere: birds like rooftops, and droppings don't wash off on their own.
How Often Should Solar Panels Be Cleaned?
It depends on how close you live to the ocean, how much dust reaches your roof and how much shade and tree cover you have. Many homeowners schedule a cleaning once or twice a year. We can recommend a schedule for your home. It's also worth checking your panel or installer warranty for any cleaning guidelines.
Pair It With Your Windows
The salt and dust that coat your panels coat your windows too. Many homeowners book solar panel cleaning together with exterior window cleaning so the whole house is done in one visit. While we're there, we can also take care of gutter cleaning or pressure washing.
Easy Estimates
Most estimates can be done without you needing to be home. Tell us roughly how many panels you have and where you're located, and we'll send you a clear, straightforward quote. If we need more details, we'll reach out before moving forward.
